What is NLP

'NLP could be the most important synthesis of knowledge about human communication to emerge since the sixties' (Science Digest)

NLP is heralding the way forward in all business arenas, and it's simple yet transformational techniques enable and equip you to efficiently and effectively influence your performace, success and results across the board.

With NLP, you learn how to think how you want, behave how you want and create what you want, as well as assisting others to do the same.

In short, NLP, (Neuro Linguistic Programming), is like a toolkit for your mind. It is a methodology that teaches you to use your mind to its full potential.

It offers you immense insight and control over how you go about the daily business of life. It enriches you by reaching another level of thought that is often disregarded or put aside due to ignorance or lack of time.

How can NLP benefit you? Through learning the fundamental techniques of NLP you will develop new positive ways of thinking, new ways to motivate yourself, new ways to achieve what you really want in your life and new ways of increasing your performance and changing your attitude and behaviour to benefit you and everyone around you.

The history of NLP

NLP was created when Richard Bandler and John Grinder modelled (the process of studying and replicating another person's excellent behaviour and therefore allowing excellent results for others) the excellent results of some therapists such as the great hypnotherapist, Milton Erickson, the gestalt therapist Fritz Peris and the family therapist Virginia Satir in 1975. Their techniques and results all contributed, along with others such as Tad James, the creator of Time Line Therapy, to the development of NLP.
